One of the greatest ironies of a successful diet: You should eat more often. Experts recommend snacking every two to three hours as part of a regular, low-calorie eating plan because it fires up metabolism and promotes fat-burning. A good nibble also keeps you from reaching for junk food when your belly is growling or your energy level hits a wall. So you need to know when and why you’re hungry, what your body really needs, and the best diet snacks for each situation. Here we had dietitians break down the five most common snack attacks.

I am very, very overweight, and confined to a wheelchair, which makes alot of excercises really limited. I have tried several different things to help loose weight, with no avail. I am looking for
some serious advice, I am not into any fad-diets, as
    I am serious about this.

      hello..
You can try using your arms for work outs . Like light weight lifting . If you dont want to use weights you can simply do exersice with upper body wothout weights. Example.. Jumping jacks with out the jump part. circle motions, you can do some chest exersicing as well. What may be a good idea is to have someone or yourself pick up a work out dvd that will target the area’s you can move around . And of course diet is key factor.. Avoid white flours, sugar and just bad snack foods. I am the sugar Queen as i like to call myself but instead I have been buying pineapples and fruits . I am not Obese but have lbs Id love to shave off. I do understand because this does affect my life , how I feel about myself and also physically this 15 lbs puts added weight to my already existing bad back issue i have suffered with since a failed back surgery in 2003. I wish you well and hope even this small advise will help you .

I’m right there with you on having a snack with some fiber, it definitely helps fill you up. I love hummus with veggies or Kashi multigrain crackers.
